We were lucky to be invited to spend the school half-term in National Trust cottages at Hardwick Hall to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday. I really should have kept my camera with me to capture more of our memories, but here are a few pictures of Thursday's 'Great British Bake Off' from the birthday girl herself...

and a fruit platter.The small girls made also made a great effort with their chocolate sprinkle crispie, but the almost big boys were deserved winners with their 'Definitely NOT Dark Chocolate Cake' (complete with sparklers!)
